Paul Foutz

Foutz, Paul John – Age 74, of Grand Blanc, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 12:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church  6340 Roberta St., Burton, with an instate time starting at 11am.  Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Thursday, July 18, 2019 with a 7PM Rosary being prayed at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or Old Newsboys of Flint.  Paul was born October 13, 1944, in Kalamazoo, the son of Regina (Kuyawa) Foutz.  He married his high school sweetheart Shirley Turmell on May 1, 1965 in Flint. They were happily married for 51 years before she was called home to Heaven on August 19, 2016.  Paul retired from General Motors SPO Drayton Plains in 2001, after almost 40 years as an Operations Supervisor.  He was a devoted member of his church and enjoyed golfing, camping, going on cruises and trips to the casino, being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was our personal weather reporter, loved chasing storms and could make anyone laugh.  Paul is survived by his four children, Kristen (Paul Robinson) Foutz, Denise (Mark) Lavalle, Jeffrey Foutz and Brian (Heather) Foutz;  grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney), Regina, Jonathan and Kacey;  brother Richard (Patty) Foutz;  many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his Mother and beloved wife Shirley.  Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
