Paul Barbour READETT, JR.

May 2, 1930 — December 6, 2012

Readett, Paul B., Jr., peacefully entered God's kingdom December 6, 2012, where he is reunited with his loving wife of 55 years, MaryAnne. Services will be held 12 PM Monday, December 10, 2012 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton with Rev. William Donahue officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. He was born May 2, 1930, in Olean, NY, and raised in Buffalo, NY. As a young man, he was awarded the Eagle Scout with Bronze, Gold & Silver Palms, the highest rank in Boy Scouting, was a brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow, and hiked Philmont as a scoutmaster. He met his future wife while attending General Motors Institute and later earned a master's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Paul was a devoted Christian and active member of Fenton United Methodist Church. He retired from General Motors after 37 years in various levels of engineering management. Paul and MaryAnne enjoyed years of travel as part of the motor home community, working with the NOMADS on mission and service projects around the country. He will be dearly missed and is survived by children, Linda (Jack) Quirk, Barbara (Ralph Volk) Derian, and Stephen (Anne); grandchildren: Matthew, Scott (Lorena), Sarah, Samuel, Daniel, Marissa, Reuben and Anna; and brother Donald (Dottie). It was Paul's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Paul & MaryAnne Readett Youth Ministry Fund at Fenton United Methodist Church.
