COOPER, Paula Jean  age 47, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Cross Church, 6325 Calkins Rd., Flint Twp., with Pastor Steve Leinbach officiating. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Special Olympics. Paula was born July 10, 1956 in Flint, the daughter of John and Effie (Laird) Ringler and has resided in Swartz Creek her entire life. She married Dennis Cooper on September 17, 1983 in Swartz Creek. Paula was a 1974 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She was employed by Citizens Bank for 29 years. Paula was a member of Cross Church. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and was loved and will be missed by her family, many friends and co-workers. Surviving are: husband, Dennis Cooper of Swartz Creek; two daughters, Erin and Christine of Swartz Creek; mother, Effie Ringler of Stanwood, MI; three siblings, Kathleen and husband, Richard Marty Martin of Clio, Greg Ringler and wife, Kaye of Flint, Coleen and husband, Carl Kajder of Milford; mother-in-law, Madeline Cooper; brother-in-law, Dave Cooper and wife, Lucy of Vernon; sister-in-law, Karen and husband, Gary Kautz of Burton; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Pam Robinson of Davison. She was preceded in death by: father, John Ringler; father-in-law, George Cooper; grandparents. Friends may share their online condolences with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
