SEARIGHT, Peggy Ann, age 55, of Flint, formerly of Fenton, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Genesys Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30AM Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. The family will receive friends Monday 9:30AM at church until time of Mass. Visitation will be 2-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Stand Up to Cancer and Genesys Hospice. Peggy was born February 2, 1957 in Flint the daughter of Joseph R. Purzycki and Helen (Jankowski) Sutkowi. She married Marc Searight September 17, 1977 in Fenton. Peggy graduated from Fenton High School, earned an Associates Degree from Mott College and attended the University of Michigan. She also attended Tic-Toc Studios, Grand Rapids studying behind the scenes, production work. Peggy was employed by General Motors until her retirement in 2006 after 30 years of service. She was an avid, competitive runner, completing 28 consistent Crim races. She also ran in marathons, including Boston, Chicago and New York. Peggy had so many running friends who were at her side through her difficult times. She loved them all. Peggy was a member of Real Style Casting Company and Flint Institute of Arts (her favorite place to watch movies). In addition, Peggy enjoyed reading, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her loving husband Marc of Flint; father, Joseph Purzycki of Fenton; mother, Helen Sutkowi (Walter) of Fenton; sister, Roseanna Purzycki of Studio City, CA; 2 brothers, Michael Purzycki (Martha Jones), Keith Purzycki (Joanne) all of Fenton; 5 step-brothers, Gary Sutkowi of Chaddsford, PA, Kenneth Sutkowi of Reno, NV, Dan Sutkowi (Anne) of Greenville, David Sutkowi (Tanya) of Irvine, CA, Rich Sutkowi (Lynne) of Scottsdale, AZ; brother-in-law, Craig Searight (Geri) of Fenton; 2 sisters-in-law, Janice VonSeggern of Greensboro, NC, Judy Cook (Mac) of Lennon; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends. Special thanks to Marc's generous co-workers at Genesys Health Park and all the family and friends who were there for Peggy.
