Peggy Cruey Stull, beloved mother, grandmother, artist, teacher, and failthful servant of God, entered Heaven on May 24, 2026 at 94 years young. She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia, the ninth of ten daughters born to Thomas Matthew Cruey and Ollie May Hall Cruey.
Peggy married the love of her life, Donald Stull of Beckley, West Virginia, and together they made their home in Swartz Creek, Michigan. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage before Don went to Heaven to be with his Savior. Together they raised their daughter, Debbie Bennett, and found immense joy in spending time with and spoiling their two granddaughters.
Peggy was a longtime member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church, where she faithfully served for many years. Her greatest joy was pointing others toward Jesus and living out her faith through kindness, encouragement, and service to others.
A gifted fine artist, Peggy spent many years painting in acrylics, oils, and watercolor. Her artwork was recognized at numerous art shows throughout Michigan, Virginia, and Florida. Her paintings were displayed in galleries and continue to hand in homes across the country. Peggy always considered her artistic talent to be a gift from God.
In addition to her artistic accomplishments, Peggy was a dedicated piano teacher who taught lessons from her home for many years. At one point, she lovingly taught as many as 70 students each week, sharing not only music, but patience, discipline, and joy with generations of children.
Peggy also loved to cook delicious meals and desserts for others and found great joy in opening her home to family, friends, and guests. Feeding people and showing hospitality was one of her many ministries, and countless people were blessed by her warm table, generous spirit, and loving heart.
Peggy is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie Bennett and husband Larry; her granddaughters, Jessica Byrne and husband Michael, and Alicia Landesman and husband Nathan; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Aidan, Addison, Shawn, Weston, Warner, Eric, Allison, Adam, and Emery, along with their spouses and many great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. Special thanks to her niece Toni and husband Dale who have been by her side consistently.
Peggy's life was marked by faith, creativity, generosity, and love for her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service for Peggy will be held at 5PM on Friday, June 5, 2026 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church- 2237 E. Reid Rd., Grand Blanc. Memorial visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 3PM until the time of service.
