Perry J. McFarlane

Perry J. McFarlane, age 82, of Flint, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Visitation will be held at 11am until the time of the Memorial Service at 2pm on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road in Grand Blanc. He was born on April 3, 1943, in Flint, Michigan to the late George & Ruth McFarlane (Bennett). Perry graduated from Flint Central High School, class of 1961. Perry was employed with General Motors as a forklift operator for 40 years before retiring in 1999. He married Nancy Miller on August 21, 1965, and together they were blessed with three children.

Perry lived for the game of golf. He previously worked at Copper Ridge Golf Course in Davison where he might have let his friends play a few too many rounds for free of charge. In his early years he enjoyed bowling and recently he kept with the changing times by joining Facebook and owning an Iphone. Perry was somewhat of a Grill Master and made mouth watering steaks. Above all he was a family man who adored his grandchildren and great - grandchildren.

Perry is survived by two loving children, Jeffrey (Rebecca) McFarlane and Jennifer McGee; 10 grandchildren, Kascie Patel, Nicolas Welch, Amber McFarlane-Bose, Alyssa McFarlane, Tori (Randy) Sutton, Kyle (Jillian) Welch, Daniel Welch, Conner (Kyla) McFarlane, Miranda (Owen) Knickerbocker and Sarah (Bobby) McFarlane; 4 step grandchildren, Brittany Newman, Amanda Sleder, Shianne Willoughby and Jordan Simpson and 24 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, Cheryl Dudek and Sally Cwiakala; siblings-in-law, Ann McMurray, Linda Johnston, and Paul (Marva) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy who preceded him in death 2021; his son, Steven McFarlane; brother, Roderick McFarlane and son-in-law, John McGee.
