Phillip was born on February 27, 1941 in Flint, the son of Admiral Dewey Venable and Rilla Venable. Phillip was a veteran of United States Marine Corps. He retired from General Motors with 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his church, Higher Praise Church of God.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Roma; daughter, Suzann Venable; step-children, Steven Minnick, and Laurie Hansen; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Douglas Venable; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Phillip Martin Venable; and siblings, Marge, Gerald, Glen, Sheri, and Karen. Tributes may be shared www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
