R. Kenneth WARLAND

WARLAND, R. Kenneth -- Age 97, of Flint Township, died February 9, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, February 12 at the West Flint Church of the Nazarene, G-2254 Dye Rd., Flint, Pastor David Bowser officiating. Interment in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of the funeral at the church on Tuesday. He was born October 21, 1915 in Flint the son of Robert C. and Rosanna (O'Brien) Warland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He was married to Alma Clara Warland on November 26, 1953 in Flint; she preceded him in death March 7, 2011. He retired from Buick in 1974 with 36 years of service. Surviving are: daughter Karen (Michael) Flesher of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law Sharon Fouts of Flint; granddaughters Bethany Steller, Jennifer Flesher; grandson Christopher Warland; great-grandson Drake Steller; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son Roy Warland; sisters Elizabeth Steveson and Marjorie Snell; brother Rev. John R. Warland.
