SANFORD, Randall L. "Randy" - age 63, went to spend Eternal Glory in the arms of the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2013. A service will be held 1 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorial contributions to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Burton. Randy was born January 22, 1950 in Flint, the son of Roland and Audrey (Hunter) Sanford. He married Shelia J. Collins on December 30, 1991. Randy was a leatherworker and devout Christian with a passion for spreading the Word. Surviving are: wife, Shelia of Flushing; four children, Barbara (Wayne) Spurlock of Flint, Kendra (Richard) Lee of Swartz Creek, Mari-Jo (Emile) Mosley of Flushing, Jeffrey (Patrisha) Miller of Flushing; 10 grandchildren, Tony, Kendall, Mariah, Kymberli, Cassidy, Alexia, Devin, Luke, Logan, and Livvy; his first unborn great-granddaughter Madeline; siblings, Teri (Gordon) Wallace of Burton, Dana (John) Nerychel of Flushing, Toni (Colon) Berry; nine nephews; one niece; mother-in-law, Nanny; special friends, Pastor Tim Works, Eugene Kelley, Bobby Sadler, Brian Polisky, and John Freeman; many other friends at Flushing Senior Center and Liberty Missionary Baptist Church; beloved dog Rocky. He was preceded in death by: his parents; father-in-law, Oliver "Big Daddy" Saylor, and beloved dog Lita. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Hak.
