Hudson, Florida, formerly Fenton, Michigan

Randell James Caszatt, age 80, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on June 26, 2026.

Born on August 7, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan, Randell was the son of Stanley and Janet Caszatt. He graduated in 1963 as a member of the first graduating class of Lake Fenton High School, where he was a gifted athlete. On November 11, 1964, he married the love of his life, Suzanne Jones. Together they shared more than forty years of marriage until Suzanne’s passing in 2007.

Randell dedicated 40 years to General Motors, where he worked as a pipe fitter before retiring in 2004. He was especially proud of his years serving as an elected union representative for UAW Local 581, advocating for and representing his fellow workers.

Randell’s love of sports lasted a lifetime. He possessed an extraordinary memory for players, statistics, and memorable games. He was a devoted University of Michigan football fan and could happily spend hours talking sports with anyone willing to listen. He was also an avid reader, a gifted storyteller, and never met an order of fish and chips he didn’t enjoy-cod or haddock only.

Those who knew Randell will remember him as a generous man and a calm, steady presence. He was someone family and friends could depend on without hesitation. More than anything, he cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His stories, humor, and unwavering love for those around him created memories that will continue to be shared for generations.

Randell was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne Caszatt; his daughters, Melissa Caszatt and Elizabeth Caszatt Stern; his parents, Stanley and Janet Caszatt; and his brother, Jeff Caszatt.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Caszatt and wife Abby, and their children, Ian (Alfonsa), Kalina (Venus Kub-aron), Aldrin, Raine Chloe, and Sophie; his daughter, Rebecca Emmons and her husband, James, and their sons, Jack and Sean; his son-in-law, Avi Stern, and his sons, Sam, Ben, and Max; eight cherished great-grandchildren; his sister, Diane (Tom) Waugh; his brother, Kevin Caszatt; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The family finds comfort in knowing Randell is reunited with Suzanne and those who went before him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless stories that will forever keep his memory alive.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family to be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton.
