BARTON, Raymond Edwin - 85, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, January 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday January 12, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Road, Flint. Pastor Samuel Hacker officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Sunday from 1-3 and 5-8 PM and at church Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Raymond was born October 2, 1929 in Flint the son of Raymond L. and Helen (Dunham) Barton. He married Reva J. Wares May 20, 1950 in Mt. Morris. He had resided in Swartz Creek for the past 28 years coming from Flint Township. Raymond retired from GM Buick Plant #10 after 39 plus years of service. He coached youth baseball and enjoyed hunting and golfing. Surviving are: his wife of 64 years, Reva; 3 children, Linda and husband Pat Fagan of Venice, FL, Mark and wife Chris Barton of Fenton, and Matt and wife Cathy Barton of Flushing; 7 grandchildren, Tonya and husband Tom Cioni of Wisconsin, Shannon and husband Don McLeod of Alaska, Jessica and husband Tim Goergen of Royal Oak, Nicole and husband Eric Leblanc of Rockford, Trevor Barton of Texas, Chelsea Barton of Livonia, and Derek Barton of Livonia; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
