SHACK, Raymond Francis -- Age 80, of Lennon, formerly of Owosso and Harrison, passed away October 10, 2014. Services will be held 4 PM Sunday October 26, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2 - 4 PM on Sunday October 26. Raymond was born December 4, 1933, the son of the late Harry F. and Amelia F. (Bishoff) Shack. He was a Veteran of the U.S.Air Force. He married Dorothy Jean McKay in April 1956 and they raised 7 children in Owosso Michigan. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Raymond coached football and basketball at the school for many years. He enjoyed all sports, golf, reading, wood working, and his 86 grandchildren. He played semipro football for San Anton Saints (Texas) in 1952. Surviving are: 7 children, Gregory Lee Shack of Owosso, Cherilyn (James) Shortt of Swartz Creek, RaeJean Williams of Harrison, Mark (Gaye) Shack of Harrison, Anthony (Diane) Shack of Owosso, Steven Shack of Gettysburg, PA., Theresa (Brad) Hissong of Lennon; 84 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Buryl and Shirley Burgess. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Jean; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany and Chad Shack. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
