RAGAIN, Rev. Loretha Joyce (Winford) - Age 82, of Burton, died April 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, G-4475 Linden Rd., Flint. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, 1-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 11 AM until the time of service Monday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to the family c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Joyce was born June 6, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Louis Robert and Georgia Mae (Bruff) Winford. She went into the ministry at age 16. During the 1940's and 1950's she traveled extensively with her brothers & cousin, through the U.S. and Canada preaching and signing in tent revivals and Evangelistic services. She and her husband pastored from California to Michigan throughout their 48 years of marriage. Her last pastoral position was as the Minister of Visitation at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Flint. Joyce, along with her husband, was an Ordained Minister with the Pentecostal Church of God. Surviving are: daughters, Ariadene Renee (Gary) Turner, Pamela Carol (Rick) Thornton; grandchildren, Christopher Compton, Rebecca Compton, David Turner, Heather Thornton; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nami brother, Bob (Karen) Winford; sister, Carol (Dwayne) Brewer; sister-in-law, Shirley Winford; eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Rev. Virgil Ragain; parents; brothers, Clenton and Charles Winford.
