Reva Jean Barton

BARTON, Reva Jean - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Road, Flint. Pastor Samuel Hacker officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Lutheran Church or McLaren Hospice.

Reva was born December 21, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Wesley and Olga (Goltz) Wares. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Raymond Edwin Barton May 20, 1950 in Mt. Morris and he preceded her in death January 8, 2015. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1986 coming from Flint Township. Reva enjoyed cooking, baking and attending her families sporting events.

Surviving are: her children, Linda (Pat) Fagan of Englewood, FL, Mark (Chris) Barton of Fenton and Matt (Cathy) Barton of Flushing; grandchildren, Tonya (Tom) Cioni, Jessica (Tim) Goergin, Nicole (Eric) Leblanc, Trevor Barton, Chelsea (Andy) Florkowski, and Derek Barton; 5 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; niece, Rhonda Walker; and nephew, Del Monroe.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Yvonne Gibson; and granddaughter, Shannon McLeod; sister, Yvonne Gibson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
