Richard Alton Hutcheson

Richard Alton Hutcheson, 88, of Swartz Creek, passed away on June 22, 2025 in Durand.

Born on July 9, 1936 in McEwen, TN, he was the son of Richard Hack and Enza Pearl (Mallady) Hutcheson.

He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Richard moved to Michigan in 1955 to begin working in the automotive industry, he worked as a semi-truck driver for GM Parts for 38 years until his retirement in 1993. When he moved to Michigan it was with the idea of one day moving back to TN, but he met the love of his life and married Donna Billsbrough on May 3, 1958 in Flint and this became their forever home where the stayed and raised their family.

Richard is survived by his loving spouse of 67 years Donna; sons, Daren Hutcheson and wife Kim of Gaines, MI, Kevin Hutcheson; daughter, Kelly Kinney of Warton, NJ; 4 grandchildren Danielle Hutcheson, Jacob Hutcheson, Jared Kinney and Jordan Kinney; two brothers, Donny Hutcheson and wife Mary of White Bluff, TN and Charles Hutcheson of Union, SC; sister Wanda Jones of White Bluff, TN and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, R. David Hutcheson; brother Terry Hutcheson; sister Myrna Stewart; and sisters in law Maxine Hardy and Diane Moody.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, 11:00 am at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI,48473 with Pastor Jason George officiating.

Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
