Richard F. MAUL

Maul, Richard F., age 82, of Atlas, died December 12, 2012. Services will be held January 12, 2013 1:00PM at Unity Christian Church 5255 S. Linden Rd. Swartz Creek. Richard was born February 22. 1930 to David and Rose Ehrlich Maul in Flint the 10th of 12 children. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served 1948-1952 and 1963-1966. he married Betty Aurand June 26, 1959. He was employed by consumers Energy for 31 years. Surviving are his wife Betty, children Erik (Jackie), Chrysta (Richard) Sobol and Kurt Maul. Grandchildren: Benjamin Howells, Heather Maul and Elizabeth Sobol; Brothers, Alex and Donald. Richard was a member of Unity Christian Church, American Historical Society of Germans from Russia and The Tin Can Sailors Organization. Richard was a lover of music especially Classical. The Metopolitan Opera on radio was the highlight of his Saturdays for many years. He was one of a kind and had a way about him that will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
