MILLS, Richard Bruce - Age 78, of Flint, died Monday, August 25, 2003 at the Lutheran Home, Frankenmuth. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Friday, August 29, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Rd., Flint, Rev. Walter Oelhafen officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint from 6-9PM Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-9PM Thursday. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 1PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Lutheran Home, Frankenmuth or Grace Lutheran Church. Richard was born November 14, 1924 in Flint the son of Jay S. and Maryann E. (Jelenski) Mills. He resided in Flint his entire life and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Merrowee Rose Jones July 29, 1950 in Flint. He retired in 1990 from Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home with 42 years of service. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion, Buick Post #310, 40/8 #1116 and the Goodwill Auxiliary. Surviving are: wife, Merrowee; son, Timothy and wife Carrie Mills of Ann Arbor; 2 grandchildren, Alexander and Emmalee Mills both of Ann Arbor; 2 sisters, Dorothy Todd, and Marie Mills, both of Flint; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fetzer of Flushing and Clara and husband Donald Buyack of Goodrich; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Ruth Amundson; sister, Margaret Gailey; 2 brothers, Leon and Francis Mills.
