Richard L. Reynolds

Richard "Dick" L. Reynolds - Age 80, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Funeral Service at 11am on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Faith Missionary Church, 1327 Elms Road in Flint. Richard will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 4pm - 8pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Visitation will resume the following day at 10am until the time of the service.

Richard was born on October 9, 1945 in Rector, Arkansas to the late Joseph & Cedah (Smith) Reynolds. He graduated from Fenton High School, class of 1964. Richard married the love of his life, Dianne E. Bishop on the luckiest of days, Friday, January 13th, 1967. Together they were blessed with their three children, Mike, Greg, and Amy. Richard was employed with GM - Buick for over 28 years as a machine operator, retiring in 1994. Richard suffered an aneurysm in his early 40s, which as one would expect changed his life. Before his health complications, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling leagues, and Canadian fishing trips. When his children were little, the family camped across different Michigan parks in tents. Richard loved watching college football, especially his favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Reynolds; his three children, Mike Reynolds, Greg (Lorel) Reynolds, and Amy (Brandon) Mead; his grandson, Joshua Mead; two step-grandchildren, Annie and Mike; 5 siblings, Joseph (Linda) Reynolds, Linda Johnson, Jim (Debbie) Reynolds, Janice (Bill) Athey and Steven (Kendra) Reynolds. Richard is further survived by many other dear nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives. He also leaves behind his puppy Lucy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Reynolds and sister, Kathy DePlanty.
