ROSALEZ, Richard Donald -- Age 82, of Flint, died August 6, 2014. Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project. Richard was born May 20, 1932 in Detroit the son of Sotero Benito and Viola H. (Nehring) Rosalez. He married Dorothy Mae Shasteen July 19, 1954 in Indiana. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Richard retired from Grand Trunk Railroad after 30 years of service; he then worked at the City Market and Farmers Market in Flint. He loved to travel and hunt. Surviving are: wife, Dorothy; 2 daughters, Imogene Wolverton of Burton and Linda Tripp and husband Rickey of Burton; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ida Grando and Elaine Hendrick and husband Clarence both of Texas; brother, Ernest Rosalez of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Rosalez; daughter, JoAnn Marriage; brother, Benny Rosalez; and sisters, Mildred Gonzalez and Margaret Hearn.
