Richard Arden SAGER

SAGER, Richard Arden "Dick" -- Age 68, of Swartz Creek, died June 20, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Chris Yager officiating. Visitation will be 10AM - 4 PM and 5 - 8 PM Friday, and 10 -11 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association or Gentiva Hospice. Dick was born February 28, 1945 in Wauseon, OH, the son of Ellsworth Arden Sager and Crystal Dawn (Deisler) Sager. He was married to Vicky Lee Smith on July 11, 1964 in Demmings Lake, MI. He had resided in Lapeer for many years before moving to Bucyrus Ohio for nine years. They moved to Swartz Creek in 2012 . He was an automotive engineer and traveled all over the world for his work. He was a Mason and a Shriner, and a member of the Lapeer Lodge. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Swartz Creek. Dick was an inventor and he enjoyed making furniture and toys, and donating to the childrens hospitals. He loved his family immensely and was a kind and considerate man. Surviving are: wife Vicky; five children, Kaylene (Jayme) Stoller of Maple Grove, MN, Stacia (Alan) Hedrick of Bucyrus, OH, Shane (Heidi) Sager of Bucyrus, OH, Amanda Sager of Minneapolis, MN, Shawn (Kristy) Sager of Grand Blanc; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Nathaniel, and Kaitlyn Beacom, Noah Stoller, Alan Michael, McKenzie, Tyler, Dakota, and McKayla Hedrick, Hunter and Bryce Sager, and Amelia Sager due in September (to Shawn and Kristy).
