Richard Zeeb

Richard Zeeb – Born in Ann Arbor MI, April 6, 1942 to Marvin and Mildred Zeeb, brother to Ronald Kim and Cheryl Zeeb, father to Rick, Kristin, Karen and Ryan. He was faithful to his Lord working hard as a founding member of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Linden MI.

Richard grew up as a country boy, hunting, fishing and horses. Through 4-H Club he became Barrel Racing Champion in Michigan, 1958. He served in the Army and because of his status as an expert sharpshooter he was assigned the job of delivering missiles to remote launch sites in the US. After the Army, Richard worked for Superior Engineering while attending Eastern Michigan University graduating in 1968. While working at Superior he helped launch “sounding” rockets at sites in Alaska, Artic, and Ascension Island staying 6 weeks at each site collecting weather data for space shuttles. Richard loved cars, and raced his 35 Ford Coupe at 3 race tracks with an unbeaten record.

Richard worked for Bendix Aerospace for 1 year helping to build the NASA rover that landed on the moon followed by working for Thetford Corporation in Texas and Canada. While in Canada, he was a founding member of a WELS mission church in Bolton.

Richard Married Joan (Charles) Eddy in 1993 and became stepfather to Stephen, Michael, Susan and David. They shared 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 16214 Linden Rd., Linden. Pastor Caleb Schaewe will officiate. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.
