Rita Jo Fazekas

FAZEKAS, Rita Jo- age 69, of Fenton, passed away July 11, 2026. Funeral Service 2:00 PM Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Rob Lindsay officiating. Visitation 11:00 AM until the time- of- service Thursday.

Rita was born June 17, 1957, in Flint, the daughter of Richard John and Betty Jo (Porritt) Beehler. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1975. Rita was employed as a cook and later as the Head Custodian at Brighton High School and later retired from Hilton Elementary School in Brighton after 30 plus years of service. She enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, cooking camping, tubing on the AuSable River, and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her son, Jeremy (Amanda) Fazekas; daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Arbogast; and Jenna (Justin) Haddock; grandchildren, Chance. Damian, Haylee, Keira, Benny, Kinsley, Noah, and Harlow; great grandson, Odin; significant other, Brett J. Loose; sister, Delberta Redmond; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty Jo Fazekas; son, Justin Fazekas; siblings, Bonnie Creamer, Kenneth Beehler, Loretta Eagleson, and Bill Beehler. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
