Rita Ruth Fonville

Rita Ruth Fonville of Round Rock, TX passed away in her home in January. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in Michigan to the union of Harold and Annabelle, who both preceded her in death, as well as her late cousin Nancy (Franklin) Jackson and her late aunt Helen Franklin and her aunt Violet Freudenmuth. 

Rita graduated from Fenton High School and attended Mott Community College with studies including general studies and Child Life Development courses. She gained employment at Hurley Hospital on the pediatric ward where she helped care for sick children with her kindness, compassion, and love. She helped to distract them from their illnesses by playing board games, video games, coloring, arts and crafts, reading books with them, and other fun means of entertainment. She loved caring for children and continued on that path for over 25 years working at various daycare centers, and at an elementary school as a Teacher’s Aide, volunteering her time for childcare at Vocational Bible School, and babysitting for friends and family members as well. She was a "Grandma" to all and amazing at it!

Rita Ruth leaves to cherish her memories: Gary Jr and Renee Rita, born to the union of Gary Fonville Sr, and her cherished and shared daughter Christine. Her grandchildren whom she loved, Isaiah, Morgan, and Kaleb. Her siblings, Jan (Nasir) of Michigan; Sue of Michigan; Carolyn of Portugal; Rex (Victoria) of Michigan; Mary Kay (Robert) of Michigan; her nephew Christopher (Candace) of Michigan, and more extended family and friends.
