Rita Tuszynski

TUSZYNSKI, Rita (Blazejewski) - age 94, of Byron, died Saturday, December 21, 2019. Memorial Mass will take place 10 AM, Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9450 Duffield Rd, Gaines. Rev. Fr. Bill Wegher officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice house of Shiawassee County.   Rita was born on May 25, 1925 in Saginaw, the daughter of  Joseph and Mary (Kolasa) Blazejewski. She married Stanley Tuszynski. Rita was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to music, and supporting local charities. She is survived by her children, Mary O'Meara and Stanley "Tony" Tuszynski; grandchildren, Amanda Hooper and husband Gilbert Nunez, Patrick and wife Marie Hooper, and Christa Hooper; granddaughter, Brooklyn Hooper; and sister, Marie Balwinski.  Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, Joseph and Mary; and 18 brothers and sisters.
