Robert Miller

Robert "Bob" L. Miller, age 95, of Flint, passed away at his home surround by his loved ones on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. A Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Friday, April 14, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will resume the next day at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM with Pastor Greg Timmons officiating at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Robert will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Flint. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name to Hope United Methodist Church, 4467 Beecher Road, Flint, Michigan 48532. Bob was born on February 15, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leo & Mary Miller. He graduated in 1946 from Dye High School with Salutatorian Honors. He proudly served his country in the United States Army 1950-1953. He married the love of his life Mrytie "Ann" Edgcombe in 1950. They celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary this past October 2022. Bob was employed with Hamady Bros as a manager for 28 years and Citizens Bank for 15 years. After retirement Bob and Ann spent 30 wonderful winters in Bradenton, Florida. Bob was a charter member at Hope United Methodist Church in Flint. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, bowling and golf. He also loved to play card games and Bingo. Above all he cherished his family and will be missed dearly by them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Miller; his sons, Mike (Sally) Miller of Georgia and Mark (Michele) Miller of Arkansas; his daughter, Becky Duehring of Davison, MI; 6 grandchildren, Leslie Kramer, Eric Miller, Sandy Catts, Dustin Miller, Alex Miller and Chris Miller; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Miller. He is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list.

In addition to his parents Leo (Mary) Miller, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marlene Miller, Leona (Dennis) Dye and Eileen Hunt and his brother, Leo Miller Jr.
