Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Robert Charles Brownlee (Bob) passed away peacefully at home on May 28th, 2025. A man whose presence in this world was nothing short of extraordinary. His legacy of strength, selflessness, and love of family will live on in all of us who had the privilege to know him and be loved by him. Bob was born in Detroit Michigan April 12th, 1939. He was a longtime resident of Fenton Michigan building his dream home in 1972. He was a dedicated Chrysler Engineering Supervisor retiring after 34 years. Bob was the president of The Old Baldy Hunt Club of Ontonagon, Michigan where he attended with family for 60+ years. Bob was an avid snowmobiler & racer most of his adult life and in 2022 he partnered with his son (Rob) to form Brownlee Boys Racing LLC and entered the SOO I-500. Bob spent many hours at his daughters (Wendi) store, Nana’s Niche & Corner of Milford, organizing and helping whenever he could. Bob loved traveling with his wife (Nessie) and together they built many friendships, memories and saw wonderful places. Bob was proud of the family he created with Nessie and mentioned it often. He was especially proud of his grandchildren who he helped all of them achieve a higher education. Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years Agnes (Nessie), children Rob Brownlee (Susan) and Wendi Skolnik (Shayne). Surviving grandchildren are Callie (Jeff) Carman, Jacob Saunders, Andrew Skolnik, Heather (Cameron) Poyner, Robert (Makayla) Brownlee. Great grandchildren Collins, Evelyn and Henry. Bob is also survived by siblings Jean Mazurek, Richard Brownlee and Laurene Phillips. Bob was preceded in death by his brother Maj. Russell Brownlee, USAF-retired.
A celebration of life service will take place June 20th, 2025, at the Linden Presbyterian Church at 12pm, with visitation from 11AM until the time of service. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Linden Presbyterian Church
