Robert Matthew Covert

COVERT, Robert Matthew - age 76, of Flint, died July 10, 2026. A memorial service will be held on August 8, 2026 with time and location to be announced.

Robert was born April 7, 1950 in Flint, MI the son of the late Martin and Mildred (Prior) Covert. He was a proud graduate from Carman High School. Robert married Peggy Dunn on December 20, 1969 in Flint. Sadly, she preceded him in death on June 10, 2023. He worked for 22 years at Fabricating Engineers until their closure before working as a laborer until his retirement from Burn's Weld & Drill in 2006.

Surviving are: two sons, LyDale (Patricia) Covert of Flint and Robert (Theresa) Covert of Missouri; five grandchildren, Julia (Cody) Thompson, Teresa Covert, Austin Covert, Carson Covert, and Gavin; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Ashton Thompson; sister, Margret Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews.
