Robert Steven "Bob" Metcalf

Metcalf, Robert "Bob" Steven- Age 80, of Flint, passed away July 3, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 10, 2023, at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 Pierson Road, Flushing. Pastor Angel Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and Monday, July 10 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mayfair Bible Church. Those desiring may make contributions to Mayfair Bible Church . 

Bob was born May 9, 1943 in Rochester, New York, the son of William and Carol (Patton) Metcalf. He graduated from G.M.I. in 1966 with an Electrical and  Mechanical  Engineering degree. He went on to earn his master's degree in environmental engineering from Wayne State University in 1968. He married Martha "Marty" K.  Clutts  in Flint on June 17, 1967. Bob retired as a superintendent with GM Buick Division following 42 years. He was a longtime member of Mayfair Bible Church. Bob was a member of the Holiday Rambler RV Club and he was a Ham Radio operator. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marty; children, Brian (Anne) Metcalf, Kevin (Lorie) Metcalf, Carrie (Kris) Rose; grandchildren, Thomas, Elizabeth, Max, Trevor, Winston, Logan, and Issac; brother, Russell (Ann) Metcalf; sister, Katherine (Robert) Baxter; several nieces and nephews. 

The family extends a special thank you to The Family Care Team at McLaren Hospital, Durand Senior Care Center, and Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care and concern.
