MINTON, Robert Roy II - Age 77, of Gaines, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023.  Per Robert's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert was born November 22, 1945 in Detroit the son of Robert Roy and Doris Lovie (Kaulsky) Minton.  He was a graduate of Ferndale High School.  He married Michelle Lee Daniels May 4, 2019 in Texas. He had resided in Gaines since 2021 coming from Granbury, TX and Waterford.  Robert owned and operated Opdyke Service and Bob's Baldwin Shell for 30 years; he also had worked for General RV for 12 years.  He enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are: his wife, Michelle; children, Mary Jean (Bill) Booth of Bradenton, FL, Jill Ann Donahue of Eastpointe, Robert Paul Minton of Livonia, Rachel (Dean) Christopher of Fairborn, OH, Shawn Roy Minton of Holly, Stephen Lee (Samantha) Hepler II of Waterford and Ciara Lee (Logan) Daniels of Gaines; 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter; sister, Sheri Hudson of Bradenton,  FL; nephew, Rock Hudson; and niece, Brandi Hudson.
