Robert Carl Moak, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. He was 83.
Born February 19, 1943, he was the son of Carl and Helen (Stratton) Moak. Robert married Sandra “Sandy” Bowen on March 14, 1964, in Flint and together they spent the next 62 years together raising their family on Shamrock Lane and enjoying their time together whether it was winters in Florida for over 20 years or the past 21 years here in Swartz Creek. Robert retired from GM A/C Spark plug where he worked as a press operator for 34 years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed getting his old classic car out and taking it to car shows, he enjoyed watching sports and was a life-long Lions and Tigers fan, he enjoyed old country music and had a special place in his heart for sweets and ice cream. Most of all he cherished his family and friends and time spent with them.
Robert is survived by his wife Sandy Moak, their sons David Moak and Daniel Moak and his wife Charmaine; two granddaughters Heather and Kaelynn; two great grandsons Graham and Lyndon; a sister Margaret Bates; as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law as well as one brother-in-law Wayne Bates.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 21, 2026, at 1:00pm at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. There will be visitation on Thursday from 10:00am until time of the service.
