Robert Noel MOWAT

MOWAT, Robert Noel - age 68, of Durand, died Friday, September 27, 2013 due to a tractor accident. Services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint with Pastor Dave Hintz officiating. Interment will be held at Sylvan Twp., Cemetery near Evart, MI. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 9 AM until the time of service at the church. Mr. Mowat was born December 20, 1944 in Evart, MI, the son of Frederick and Isabel (McNeil) Mowat. He married Helejean Steelman on September 26, 1964. He retired from General Motors Buick City and was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Mowat loved spending time in the outdoors and on the farm, hunting and fishing. Surviving are: wife of 49 years, Helejean; son, Duane Mowat of Evart; daughter, Duana (Jeff) Mofield of Swartz Creek; two grandchildren, Drew and Desiree Mofield; three brothers, John, Jim and Tim Mowat.
