Robert Orschell

ORSCHELL, Robert Joseph - Age 85 of Flint, died December 21, 2014. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave. Flint. Fr. Robert Copeland Celebrant. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with Rosary at 6 PM Sunday. Visitation will also be from 10 AM until time of service at the church on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Robert was born September 8, 1929 in Flint the son of Edward and Grace (Witt) Orschell. He married Mildred G. Izzard on August 30, 1960 in Flint she preceded him in death on May 11, 2003. Robert was a Veteran in the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus 695. He was a member of VFW Chevrolet Post #3087, American Legion Post #310 and UAW Buick Local. Surviving are: step children, Kay (Bill) Kotarski of Burton, Patricia (Larry) Barbera of Flushing, Butch (Tina) Balch of Flint, Sue Bosley of West Branch; granddaughter, Lori Tambling; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Catherine Brackney of Brookville Indiana; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; step daughter, Donna Schilling; brothers, Edward Jr., Howard and Albert; sister, Norma Westcamp; granddaughter, Paula.
