Robert E. "Louie" SMITH Sr.

SMITH, Robert Eugene, "Louie" - Age 76, of Clio, died Sunday, July 28, 2013. Louie was born January 14, 1937 in Bay, Arkansas, the son of Rufus and Maggie (Hillard) Smith. He married Judith Anne Rodden October 27, 1956 in Flint. He retired from GM Chevrolet Metal Fab, after 30 years of service. Louie was a member of the U.A.W. Local 659 and Corunna Road Baptist Church. He had resided in Clio since 1983 and previously in Mt. Morris. Surviving are: wife, Judith; 2 children, Treasure and husband Dale Roush of Brownstown and Ronda Anne Marciszewski ( preceded in death by son-in-law, Fred Marciszewski) of Chuckey, TN. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carrie Jo and son, Robert, Jr. Louie had 5 grandchildren, Carrie, Robert, Rebekah (fianc, Mike Emory), Jacob, and Lauren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and survived by several step-siblings. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 12:30 PM . The service will be held at Corunna Road Baptist Church, 6143 Corunna Road, Flint with Pastor Joseph Hall officiating. A dinner will be provided after the service.
