He is survived by his son, Robert Jay Stewart II; his daughter, Lisa K Forgett; his brother, David Stewart; his first wife, Linda Ianni; and was preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife, Kay who passed away on December 1, 2024.

Sharing Bob's poem from his porch watching the activity of a tree, written 9/8/23:

"Every day we see every atom having electrons we cannot define-certainty where or when they are at specific space. How can we understand a world where uncertainty drives time. Nor can we determine, nor predict, future, other than theory -the sum of all past memories, some forgotten, other than it was my time. "
