Verdoux, Robert Jean Emmanuel - Age 99, of Flint Township, passed away April 7, 2026. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, April 13, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed via the link on Robert's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of the service on Monday, April 13 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT.
Robert was born in Tarbes, France on October 13, 1926. During the occupation of France during WWII, Robert enlisted in the French Underground and the French Airforce. In September of 1947 he married Nanette Dabat, she preceded him in death in July 2015. Robert came to Montreal in 1951 in search of a better life for he and his family. He moved to Chicago in 1954 to work for Ford Motor Company. Robert then moved to Flint in December of 1954 to work for Metal Fab, and brought his family to the United States permanently at that time. In 1963 they built their family home in Flint and have resided there since. Robert became an official United States citizen in 1967. He retired from General Motors in 1983 - starting his own design company, Premium Design, that same year. Robert retired from Premium Design in 2004.
He is survived by his four children, Pat (Dany) Verdoux, Marc (Angie) Verdoux, Marie Smith, Glen (Carol) Verdoux; grandchildren, Jacob (Shea), Ashley, Courtney (Matt), Erik, Lenya (Jason), Shawn (Ronda), Peter; great-grandchildren, Sebastien (Emma), Jayden, Collins, Nicholas, and Edmond. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nanette; brother, Marcel; two children, Jerry and Tinamarie; grandchildren, Claudine, Paul, and Adam; and son-in-law, John Smith.
