Robert W. Brown, age 75, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 12PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held on Monday starting at 10AM until the time of the service. Robert will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Robert was born to Norman & Ova Brown on September 15, 1947, in Marion, Michigan. He graduated in 1965 from Marion High School. Upon graduating high school, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country. He had various small jobs before being hired at General Motors. he retired from General Motors in quality control in 1999.
Robert was known for being a brave but gentle soul; his big heart had no boundaries when it came to how generous he was. His best quality was that he was able to make others "feel at home". His fondest memories were those spent with his family. He looked forward to cookouts and holidays. His children would often request their favorite meal when coming home to visit. In his spare time Robert would read or work in the yard either gardening or weeding.
Robert is survived by his loving husband of 31years, Timothy Suttle; whom he just married on April 21, 2023; his two children, Leann (Phillip) Prewitt and Karen (Eric) Riggs; five grandchildren, Michael (Chelsea) Erdman, Jared (Tiffany) Erdman, Stephen Erdman, Crista Kaylyn Marie (Michael) Schroeder and Eric (Kourtney) Erdman; 14 great-grandchildren and three siblings, Pete (Nancy) Brown, Dewey Brown and Larry (Lisa) Brown. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon Saladana, Diana (Ken) Kennedy, Irene (Larry) Garza, Pamela (Timothy) Elleman, Paula (Chuck) Thomas, Rebecca (Tony) Mata, Alan (Sara) Suttle, Adrian Suttle, Dennis (Cathy) Suttle, Denies Suttle, James (Teresa) Suttle and Sherman Suttle. He is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten. He also leaves behind his furry companions, Chewy, Toker II and Rex.
In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by several siblings and other dear family members and pets.
