DICKINSON, Roberta Sue - Age 75, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Flushing, MI, passed away March 23, 2025, at McLaren hospital with her close friend, Kim, by her side. A Committal Service will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Great lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Donald Eugene Dickinson. Anyone wishing to make a Memorial contribution to Adopt-A-Pet Fenton or any Humane Society, may do so in Roberta's memory, as she loved her dogs and was happy to donate to charitable organizations for dogs.

Roberta was born June 17, 1949, in Detroit, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Sturgis) Streeter. She met Donald Eugene Dickinson, a Navy Veteran, when they were students at Michigan State University, where she received her Bachelors of Science degree for teaching. Roberta and Donald were married on November 27, 1971. She was employed as a high school teacher in the Flint City School District, along with her husband, Don, and later obtained her Masters degree. In 2001, she retired from Flint’s Southwestern High School. She and her husband, Don, loved to traveling domestically as well as abroad, especially seeking out new golf courses to challenge them. They also enjoyed participating in card clubs with fellow colleagues, and Roberta’s hobbies included cross stitch, scrap booking, and card making.

Surviving are: her brother, John Streeter; sister, Rebecca Krabill; several nieces and nephews; her close friend and “daughter”, Kim Pauwels, who came alongside her after Don’s death; and her beloved dog, Smokie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Dickinson on February 20, 2015, and her sister-in-law, Marlene Streeter. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
