Roberta Rising

RISING, Roberta Elaine - Age 91, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 23, 2017. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Wes Morris officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Medical Team Hospice, 4400 S. Saginaw St., Suite 1300 A, Flint, MI 48507. Roberta was born September 25, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Samuel and Sophie McKee. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Robert Sherwood Rising May 25, 1947 in Flint and he preceded her in death May 3, 1992. She had resided in Fenton since 1966 coming from Flint. Roberta retired as a medical assistant for Dr. Hurd in Fenton. She was an avid bowler and bowled into her 80's and also was a member of a Ladies Card Club. Surviving are: her sons, Dennis (Denise) Rising of Brighton/Marco Island and Gregg (Mary) Rising of Fenton; grandchildren, Troy (Kirsten) Rising of Fenton, Courtney Simon of Ann Arbor, Lindsey Rising of Linden, and Brad (Laura) Rising of Clarkston; great grandchildren, Hailee, Jacob, Gabe, Alec, Lily, and Ella.
