Robin Rose Thomas

THOMAS, Robin Rose -- Age 72 of Bakersfield, California, formerly of Flint, Michigan passed away October 26, 2026.

Robin was born on May 26, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Louis and Virginia (Joseph) Thomas. Robin graduated from Flint Northwestern in 1972. Her desire was to work in the Restaurant Business following her grandparents, George and Rose Joseph, which led to many years of dedicated service as a manager and server at many different locations.

In her younger years Robin loved to travel, taking her to Alaska, Colorado, and Florida. She settled in California to help raise her granddaughter, Sophia Rose. Her biggest joy was being a "Volleyball Grandma" and traveling to new places to watch Sophia play. Robin loved to play Bingo; she was the "Bingo Queen." Robin loved her family and loved them hard. One of her favorite sayings was " All we need is a cooler full of sandwiches, drinks and a road map". Robin decided to move home to Michigan where she was anxious to spoil her great nieces and nephews. But God had other plans.

Robin is survived by her daughter, Rachael (Julio) Franco; siblings, Raymond Thomas, Gigi (Jim) Oros, Diana Auch (Kirk Crafts); granddaughter Sophia Rose; 11 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; 1 great great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Virginia Thomas; sister, Donna; brother, Bill, and nephew, Casey; grandparents, George and Rose Joseph and John and Levi Thomas. Tributes can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
