Rodric Grant WHEELER

WHEELER, Rodric Grant -- Age 78, of Flushing, went home to be with his Lord, October 4, 2013. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 6434 Richfield Road, Flint 48506, Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service. Graveside services will follow later at 3 PM at the Hough Cemetery in Almont. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, 48473. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Emanuel Baptist Church, Heartland Hospice, or Genesee County Humane Society. Rodric was born December 6, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert Lee and Helen May (Prideaux) Wheeler . He graduated from Flint Central High School and had attended GMI. Rodric married Barbara A. Korth on June 30, 1956 in Flint. Rodric served in the National Guard for eight years. He retired from General Motors in 1991 as a General Supervisor. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. He was a member of several RC clubs in the area. Surviving are: wife of 57 years Barbara; two daughters Laurie Lee Wheeler, Lisa Ann and husband Matthew Elasivich, all of Flushing; granddaughter Suzanne Lisette Elasivich of Grand Rapids; brothers Rocky Wheeler of Flint, Howard Wheeler of Flushing, Paul and wife Rita Wheeler of Linden; sister Nancy and husband Donald Somsky of Lake Charlevoix; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
