Rogelio Elizando

Rogelio Elizando - Age 89, of Owosso, passed away on March 24, 2026. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 27, from 4PM – 7PM at Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.

Rogelio was born on January 26, 1937, in Hidalgo County, Texas, to the late Miguel Elizando and Maria Rico. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars, particularly Corvettes. He liked to travel, visit flea markets, and go to car shows. Whether he was listening to mariachi music or eating at Zehnder’s, he always had a good time. He loved a good meal but loved the company even more. Rogelio enjoyed getting together with his family and always had a great story to share.

Rogelio is survived by children Holly (John) Matesic, Barry Elizando, Angela Elizando, and Melinda Elizando; grandchildren Brandon (Elizabeth) Matesic, Kara Matesic, Damon (Hannah Burkhart) Self, and Emily Elizando; his siblings; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
