DAY, Roger O. - Age 74, of Linden, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Inverness, FL. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Pastor Linda Living-Hawley and Pastor Donald Neuville officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Roger O. Day Memorial Fund, all funds will go to Allie McCullough. Roger was born June 18, 1938 in Flint, the son of Orville and Beryl (Hufstetler) Day. He retired as a salesman from Taystee Bread Company in 1996 after 30+ years of service. He had resided in Linden since 1985 coming from Fenton. Roger was a member of the Fenton Masonic Lodge #109 F.&A.M and Grand Blanc Huntsman Club. He was an avid hunter, Skeet Shooter, and was very active with the Flint Olympian Games. Surviving are: wife, Sharon; 5 children, Roger L. Day of Linden, Lea A. Day of Seattle, WA, Vickie L. White of Spring, TX, Colleen S. Berg and husband James of Byron, and Cathleen A. White and husband Walter of Alexandria, VA; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey R. White and wife Kacie of Carthage, TX, Sean White of Spring, TX, Bryan Berg of Byron, Kevin Berg of Byron, and Roger White of Alexandria, VA; brother, Thomas Day and wife Janet of Linden; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
