Roger Mayner

MAYNER, Roger Dean - Age 58, of Linden, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Rev. Jerry Stoner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp. Roger was born January 6, 1959 in Flint the son of John Martin and Estabelle (Henderson) Mayner. He was a 1977 graduate of Carman High School and also received an Associates Degree from Baker College. He married Lisa Marie Gatza March 2, 1985 in Grand Blanc. He retired from GM V-8 Engine Plant as Machine Repair Machinist. Roger was a member of More Life Tabernacle. He also was a member of the U.A.W. Local 659, Moose Lodge, and the Safari Club International. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are: his wife, Lisa; 3 children, Desi and wife Courtney Mayner of Linden, Dustin and wife Amanda Mayner of Byron, and McKall Mayner of Linden; expected granddaughter, Hadley; mother, Estabelle Mayner of Fenton; sister, Glenda West of Grand Blanc; brothers, Harlan and wife Lisa Mayner of Danville, IN, Roger's twin, Rodney Mayner of Linden; and Andrew Mayner of Fenton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Marcia Gatza of Linden; sister-in-law, Amy Gatza of Linden; brother-in-law, John and wife Melissa Gatza of Linden; and several nieces and nephews.
