Roger Frank Morris, age 93, of Swartz Creek, formerly of Galesburg, Michigan passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Swartz Creek, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life visitation will be held 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Saturday, May 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Military Honors will take place concluding the visitation at 4:00 PM Saturday. Interment will take place 12:00 PM Monday, May 12 at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South, 3941 South Westnedge Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.  

He was born on December 16, 1931, in Wayland, Michigan, the son of the late Frank Morris and Myrtle Smith. A proud graduate of Wayland High School, class of 1950, Roger developed a strong work ethic that served him well in his career. He worked as a Journeyman and Tool and Die maker at GM Fisher Body UAW 488 in Kalamazoo, until his retirement. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Roger proudly served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, taking on the essential roles of medic and Supply Sergeant. His military service was a testament to his commitment to his country and to helping others. 

On September 20, 1952, Roger married Keitha Koopman in Wayland, Michigan. Together, they nurtured a loving family that included their children, Jacquelyn (Dennis) Templeton, Randall (Mary) Morris, and Valerie (Tim) Summers. Roger was not only a father but also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. 

Throughout the years, Roger's spirit was reflected in his hobbies and interests. He was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed activities such as golfing, hiking, camping and woodworking. He particularly loved exploring waterfalls and cherished the memories made during family vacations, including exciting trips like biking and walking the Mighty Mack.
