Ronald E. Baldwin - Age 83, of Linden, passed away August 8, 2026. Ronald was born June 7, 1943 in Flint, the son of Ale and Betty (Bonner) Baldwin. He attended Beecher High School, then joined the Marines in 1960, serving for four years. Ronald married Eva J. Scobey on April 30, 1966, celebrating 60 years of marriage after meeting on a blind date.
Ron worked for 30 years at Chevrolet as an electrician, retiring in 1994. Ron also owned Baldwin Electric for 35 years until 2007. Ron was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying ultralights, motorcycles, snowmobiles, boating, camping, woodworking and anything to do with nature. Ron attended Flint Bible Institute for several years and was a student of the Bible. He served in his church as Deacon, Bible Study leader and many other committees through the years. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His home church was First Baptist Church of Fenton.
Ron and Eva have two children and 5 grandchildren. Daughter, Keely and husband Mike Johnson of Swartz Creek; son, Steven and wife Destini Baldwin of Flint; grandsons, Lane and Logan McFarlane of Swartz Creek, Dakota Baldwin of West Virginia; granddaughter, Autum (Baldwin) and husband Ryan Heavner of Flint; granddaughter, Amber (Baldwin) and husband Tyler Wick of Jackson; sister, Cathy Skripnik of Ada; brother, Michael and wife Patti Baldwin of Canton, GA; brother, Frank Baldwin of Grand Blanc; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Joan Horn; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise and husband Tim Stone; sister-in-law, Sue Baldwin; brother-in-law, Bill Horn.

Services will be held 11AM Monday, August 31, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
