Ronald H. Bissonette, of Swartz Creek , passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was 82 years old.
Born November 17, 1942 in Arenac County, he was the son of Henry S. and Lilliam M. (Wainwright) Bissonette. Ronald worked in skilled trades for General Motors, retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman and also woodworker, most of all though he adored time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Janet M. (Gutchak) Bissonette; three sons, Douglas Bissonette and his wife Oy, Dan Bissonette and his wife Jacki and Mike Bissonette; one daughter Kim Bissonette; two sisters; Gloria Graham and Kathryn Bissonette; one brother Robert Bissonette; five grandchildren, Jaci Spitler, Amanda Gable, Shawna Lucarelli, Breanne Bissonette and Lauryn Bissonette; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Kandice Bissonette.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek with visitation from 10:00am until time of mass. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8 from 2-8 pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, with a Rosary service at 7:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
