Ronald Ray Mechura Jr. “Bully”
May 25, 1966 - June 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Ray Mechura Jr., affectionately known as “Bully,” on June 13, 2026, at the age of 60. A memorial mass will held at 11:00 AM Friday, Jnne 26, 2026 at St. Mary Mission Church (2500 N. Franklin Avenue, Flint, Michigan 48506) with Fr. Matthew Bonk officiating. The family will receive guests at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bully to St. Mary Mission Church.
Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Bully was proud of his Flint roots and carried that pride with him throughout his life. He was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed cheering on his beloved Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Tigers. Whether he was watching a game on television or supporting the younger cousins, nieces, and nephews at their sporting events, Bully loved being part of the action and celebrating the people he cared about.
Bully had a passion for music and enjoyed spending hours listening to his favorite songs. He was also known for something that made everyone smile-he was always on the phone. If you knew Bully, chances are you received one of his many phone calls. Whether he was checking in, sharing a story, talking sports, or simply wanting to hear a familiar voice, he loved staying connected with family and friends. His calls became a part of who he was and are memories that many will cherish forever.
Above all else, Bully loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Molina; his former spouse, Audrey Molina; his sister, Renee Mechura; his nieces, Danielle Alcala & Brandi Hauxwell; and many beloved aunts, uncles cousins, great-niece; Emilia and great-nephews; Lucas, Liam & Elias and extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by his humor, loyalty, and larger-than-life personality.
Bully was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Martinez; his father, Ronald Ray Mechura Sr.; and his sister, Maria Mechura.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind-the phone calls, the laughter, the sports debates, the music, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His proud Flint spirit, warm heart, and unforgettable personality will continue to live on in the stories and memories shared by those who loved him.
Bully will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.
