Ronald George Strickland

Ronald George Strickland - Age 84, of Flushing, passed away April 10, 2026. According to his wishes, he will be cremated. A committal service will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.

Ronald was born on May 29, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of George and Evelyn (Spence) Strickland. He graduated from Schaffer High School in Southgate and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

A lifelong Michigan native, Ronald lived Downriver for many years following his honorable discharge from the military. He later spent nine years living in Florida before returning to Michigan and settling in Flushing in 2014. Ronald had a deep love for boats of all kinds and was a longtime member of the Seaway Boat Club in Wyandotte.

He is survived by his two children, David Strickland and Amy (Tim) Ford; grandchildren, Brystal, Trevor, and Austin; his sister, Sandra Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
