WISE, Ronald Mahlon - 85, of Holly, died Sunday, April 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Ben Glupker officating. Burial immediately following in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to The ALS Association or Gentiva Hospice in Flint. Ronald was born November 7, 1928 in Mundy Township, the son of Mahlon and Mable (Ingram) Wise. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Betty Mae Oldswager October 26, 1950 and she preceded him in death February 25, 2003. He retired from the City of Flint Department of Parks and Recreations after 21 years of service. Ronald had resided in Holly since 1955. Surviving are: 4 children, Lana Pierce and husband Greg of Holly, Crystal Bentley of Holly, Cristy Lloyd and husband Kim of Davisburg, and Dennis Wise and wife Susan of Holly; 3 granddaughters, Heather Morton and husband Brandon, Angela Miles and husband Ron, and Melissa Wise; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Mae Lynn Miles; 2 sisters, Florence Sortman and June Miller both of Fenton; and his precious dog, Lucy. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Dorothy Stiff, Alberta Lanning, and Roseann Szcodronski; and 4 brothers, Leo, Bill, and Charles Wise and Harold Ripley.
