NOLKEMPER, Rosemary - Age 78, of Fenton died Saturday, August 6, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Wednesday from 2-9 PM, where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM and at church Thursday from 10 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Children's Miracle Network. Rosemary was born August 23, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of John and Meta (Grow) Kalakay. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic High School. She married David Herbert Nolkemper June 2, 1956 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 21, 1991. Rosemary retired in 1992 from GM Buick Motor Division after 30 years service. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary Curtis Wolverton Post #3243, Fenton Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries #2460; and she also was a former member of the Fenton Moose Lodge #430. Surviving are: sons, Scott and wife Laura Nolkemper of Grand Blanc and Robert Nolkemper of Fenton. grandchildren, Jamie and husband Dr. Brad Scott of Ottumwa, IA, Jeremy Nolkemper of Fenton, Travis Nolkemper currently serving in the USMC, and Jonathan Nolkemper of Fenton. sisters-in-law, Wilma Kalakay of Flint and Elizabeth Kalakay of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Robert and Eugene Kalakay.
